Console extension solutions are available in many form factors from
a number of different types of suppliers. Tron focuses on enterprise
extension devices for UTP, STP and fiber applications.

Available features: CAT 5 devices typically extend KVM (PS/2, VGA) and Audio up to 500 feet. The latest CAT 5 devices include support for USB keyboards, mice and DVI video. The latest fiber extension will extend KVM, audio and serial devices between 2,500 and 10,000 feet. These devices are your only choice for RGB video and digital audio in a full range of I/O protocols like PS/2, USB and DVI. Logical Solutions and Rose Electronics offers support for the longest distances and media applications. Today's fiber extension devices use only two fibers compared to six required by earlier solutions. | ||||||||||||||||
