The A1000 is a scaled back version of the popular DSR digital KVM switch. The A1000 converts a computers analog signals into digital data using Cat 5 donlges. These computer interface units pass analog data over Cat 5 between the server and KVM switch. Then, A1000 digitizes the data that is then sent over normal networks using standard IP protocols. The A1000 has the highest available throughput connecting eight computers to your network accessible by twelve simultaneous users. | |||

AVWorks, is the client-side management software used to access the AutoView 1000 Series administrative functions. The 1000 Series ships with its user license pre-enabled on the hardware and requires this free Java based application for administration of user access and port management. Users accessing this AutoView model through its digital port are authenticated through the hardware. Users manage a single system port with AVWorks compared to DSView where multiple windows (servers) can be opened and monitored at the same time.
AVWorks and the AutoView 1000 Series combine to eliminate the high cost of NT level security for an affordable solution. And, as a java client, AVWorks is cross platform compatible and one of the only choices for clients who are not Microsoft centric. | |||
